MIS Head – Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:
The MIS Head is responsible for managing the organization’s management information systems, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, data analysis, dashboards, and business insights to support management decision-making across projects, sales, finance, HR, procurement, and operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. MIS & Management Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Prepare management dashboards and performance reports for senior management.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent data reporting across departments.
- Consolidate data from multiple projects, departments, and business units.
2. Real Estate Project MIS
- Monitor project-wise progress, cost, revenue, CRM and collections.
- Prepare project-wise status reports for management review.
- Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor construction progress against planned schedules.
- Prepare project performance dashboards and exception reports.
3. Sales & CRM MIS
- Track lead generation, site visits, bookings, cancellations, and conversions.
- Prepare sales executive/team-wise performance reports.
- Monitor sales targets versus actual achievement.
- Track customer follow-ups and lead conversion through CRM.
- Analyze project-wise and channel-wise sales performance.
4. Finance & Collection MIS
- Monitor project-wise revenue, receivables, and collections.
- Prepare outstanding and collection ageing reports.
- Track booking advances, customer payments, and pending collections.
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts for accurate financial data.
- Provide management with cash-flow and collection-related MIS.
5. Procurement & Purchase MIS
- Track purchase orders, vendor details, material requirements, and deliveries.
- Monitor purchase status against project requirements.
- Prepare vendor-wise and project-wise procurement reports.
- Track pending purchase orders and material delays.
- Analyse procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
6. Construction & Site MIS
- Collect project/site-level data from Project Managers and Site Engineers.
- Monitor material consumption, manpower, work progress, and project costs.
- Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports.
- Highlight project delays, cost variations, and operational issues.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of reports.
7. HR & Employee MIS
- Maintain employee master data and manpower reports.
- Prepare headcount, new-joiner, attrition, attendance, and leave MIS.
- Track department-wise manpower requirements.
- Prepare recruitment and joining status reports.
- Support HR with payroll-related data and employee analytics.
8. Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
- Analyze business data and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Develop dashboards using Advanced Excel, Power BI, or other BI tools.
- Provide actionable insights to management.
- Develop automated reports to reduce manual work.
- Maintain data accuracy and establish proper data validation processes.
- Support management in performance review meetings.
10. ERP & System Management
- Coordinate with IT/ERP teams for MIS and reporting requirements.
- Ensure proper data entry and system discipline across departments.
- Develop standardized reporting formats and workflows.
- Identify opportunities for MIS automation and process improvement.
- Ensure data security, confidentiality, and controlled access.
