Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
- Recommend books and related products based on customers' interests and needs.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of book genres, authors, new releases, and bestsellers.
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Receive, unpack, label, and arrange new inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the Store Manager about replenishment needs.
- Promote loyalty programs, memberships, gift cards, and ongoing promotions.
- Assist in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Assist with book launches, promotional events, and in-store activities.
- Follow company policies, cash-handling procedures, and security guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of retail sales experience (bookstore experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and sales abilities.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Passion for books and reading is highly desirable.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
