We are looking for participants to contribute to a Malayalam speech data collection project. The recordings will be used to train and improve Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models. Participants will record natural conversations in Malayalam following the guidelines below.
- Two participants must engage in a natural conversation on a chosen topic.
- Recordings can be done using either a laptop or a mobile phone.
- Solo recordings are not permitted.
- Recording partners may be in the same location or different locations.
- Participants can record at any time of the day.
- A minimum of 6–8 recordings per day, each 15 minutes long, must be submitted.
- Any recordings that do not meet quality standards must be corrected and resubmitted.
- Background noise is strictly prohibited.
- Speakers are free to choose any conversation topic.
- High-performing candidates may be promoted to transcription tasks later.
