Kwill is a client portal for freelancers and small studios — proposals, contracts, invoices, payments and a branded client portal in one place. We launch in September across 20 markets, selling to freelancers in India, the US, the UK, Europe and Australia.
Our audience is designers, photographers, consultants and studio owners. They have taste, they're on social constantly, and they can spot marketing filler from a mile away. That's the bar.
The role
You own Kwill's presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Threads — strategy, calendar, copy, publishing and community. You'll work alongside our designer and video editor, who make the assets; you decide what gets made and why.
This is a build-it role. We're launching, so you're establishing the voice rather than maintaining one.
What you'll do
- Own the content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Threads
- Write the copy — hooks, captions, threads, carousels, launch announcements
- Brief the designer and video editor on what you need, and give useful feedback on drafts
- Run community: reply to comments and DMs, get into relevant conversations, build relationships with freelancer communities
- Coordinate UGC creators and manage the content they deliver
- Track what's working — reach, engagement, saves, clicks, signups — and change the plan based on it
- Support launch moments: product announcements, feature releases, milestones
- Watch what competitors are doing and tell us what's worth stealing or avoiding
What we're looking for
- 1–3 years running social media for a brand, agency or startup — a portfolio or accounts you can point to
- You can write. Sharp, plain, human copy. This matters more than anything else on this list
- You understand the difference between LinkedIn and Instagram, and don't post the same thing to both
- Comfortable writing for an international audience, not just an Indian one
- You know what a hook is and why most brand content fails
- Organised — a calendar that actually gets published, not one that slips every week
Nice to have
- Marketed to freelancers, creatives or small businesses
- Short-form video experience — you can shoot and cut a rough Reel yourself
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Buffer or similar
- Some paid social experience
Why this role
You're setting the voice of a brand from day one, not inheriting someone else's. You'll have a designer and video editor to execute with, direct access to the founder, and no committee between an idea and it going live.
