Teaching & Learning
- Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and practical sessions in F&B Service.
- Prepare course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations.
- Engage in curriculum development and upgradation in line with industry standards.
- Ensure experiential learning through simulated training environments.
- Foster an interactive and participative learning environment.
Research & Development
- Conduct research in the area of F&B service and hospitality trends.
- Publish papers in peer-reviewed journals (preferably UGC/Scopus indexed).
- Guide students in research projects and dissertations.
Student Mentoring & Development
- Act as a mentor and academic advisor to students.
- Support students in internships, industry training, and placement activities.
- Promote soft skills, grooming, and professional ethics.
Industry Collaboration
- Liaise with industry for guest lectures, industrial visits, and internships.
- Ensure course relevance by aligning with hospitality trends and technology.
Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and university events.
- Support the organization of food festivals, competitions, and seminars.
- Contribute to NAAC/NBA accreditation, internal quality audits, and academic audits.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Master’s degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality with specialization in F&B Service (or equivalent) with at least 55% marks.
- Desirable: NET/SET qualified or Ph.D. in Hospitality / Hotel Management as per UGC norms.
- Preferred: Industry experience of 2–3 years in F&B Service in reputed hotels or restaurants.
Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of F&B operations, service techniques, wine & beverage service, restaurant management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to blend practical training with theoretical instruction.
- Familiarity with modern POS systems, service technologies, and hygiene standards.
