Job description
A Dance Teacher in a school is responsible for teaching students various dance styles while promoting creativity, confidence, discipline, and physical fitness. They plan and deliver engaging dance lessons that are appropriate for students' age and skill levels. The teacher develops choreography for school events, annual functions, competitions, and cultural programs, while encouraging teamwork and self-expression.
In addition to teaching dance techniques, the Dance Teacher assesses students' progress, provides constructive feedback, and ensures a safe and inclusive learning environment. They collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support extracurricular activities and help students build confidence through performance. A successful Dance Teacher demonstrates strong communication skills, patience, creativity, and a passion for inspiring students through the art of dance.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school.
- At least 2 years of experience conducting dance classes.
- Pleasant personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and manage students of different age groups.
- Strong organizational, classroom management, and choreography skills.
