Role Purpose
The Music Educator will build students’ musical skills, listening ability, performance confidence, and appreciation for vocal and instrumental music. The role should support the school’s co-curricular program through training, ensemble work, performances, and event participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured music lessons in English for students across assigned grades.
- Teach vocal music and basic to intermediate instrumental skills, depending on student level and school requirements.
- Develop students’ understanding of rhythm, melody, pitch, voice culture, notation basics, performance skills, and musical appreciation.
- Train students for assemblies, choir presentations, annual day events, competitions, and special performances.
- Prepare solo and group performances with high-quality coordination and presentation.
- Support both Indian and, where required, Western music exposure suitable for the school environment; a current Sarkhej-area music educator listing for a similar role mentions Indian and Western music knowledge, good vocals in Hindi and English, and ability to play at least one instrument.
- Maintain music resources, instruments, and rehearsal discipline.
- Assess musical progress and encourage participation, confidence, and stage presence.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is compulsory.
- Degree / diploma / certification in Music is compulsory.
- Good academic background and strong musical knowledge are compulsory.
- Excellent spoken and written English is compulsory.
- Capability in vocal music and at least one musical instrument is compulsory.
Experience & Skills Required
- Prior school teaching experience in music is preferred.
- Ability to teach both vocal and instrumental music effectively.
- Knowledge of choir training, stage performances, and school event preparation.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
- Ability to work with children across age groups and support a vibrant co-curricular culture.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
