Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing client relationships, converting leads into orders, and expanding the company's presence in international markets. The ideal candidate should have strong sales acumen, experience in export business development, and excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through online portals, trade platforms, referrals, and networking
- Develop and maintain relationships with international buyers, importers, retailers, and buying houses
- Handle lead generation, prospecting, and client acquisition activities
- Conduct sales presentations, virtual meetings, and product demonstrations
- Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and business offers
- Convert inquiries into orders through effective follow-ups and negotiations
- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, design, and production teams for successful order execution
- Attend buyer meetings, exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events
- Maintain CRM, sales pipeline, and business development reports
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA Marketing preferred)
- 4–8 years of experience in Business Development, International Sales, or Export Sales
- Experience in Home Décor, Hardgoods, Glass, Handicrafts, or Manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools
- Ability to build long-term client relationships
- Strong commercial and business acumen
Preferred Experience
- Experience dealing with international buyers and buying houses
- Exposure to export markets including USA, Europe, Middle East, etc.
- Knowledge of B2B portals such as Alibaba, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Global Sources, etc.
Pay: Up to ₹100,000.00 per month
