Job Title: On-Grid Solar Plant Installer

Role Summary
Install, wire, and commission grid-tied solar PV systems safely and to spec. You’ll work on 3kW to 500kW rooftops and small ground mounts with our ITI electrical team.
Key Responsibilities
Installation: Mount structures, panels, and inverters as per drawings. Ensure alignment, torque, and weatherproofing.
Electrical: DC/AC wiring, conduit laying, earthing, stringing, combiner box termination.
Commissioning: Check continuity, insulation resistance, polarity. Support net-metering testing with DISCOM.
Safety: Follow PPE, lockout/tagout, and working-at-height protocols daily.
Reporting: Log daily progress, material usage, and site photos for the PM.
Requirements
Education: ITI Electrical or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics. Fresher with strong practical skills ok.
Experience: 0-2 yrs for helpers/techs. 2+ yrs preferred for lead installers on solar projects.
Skills:
- Read basic electrical and mechanical drawings
- Use multimeter, clamp meter, torque wrench, drilling tools
- Basic understanding of AC/DC, earthing, and grid sync
Physical: Fit for roof work, comfortable at heights, able to lift 25kg
Nice to Have
Prior on-grid solar, rooftop, or industrial electrical experience
Wireman license / Electrical supervisor certificate
Knowledge of MNRE/DISCOM norms for Delhi
