As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain BSP software for automotive compute platforms including application grade SoCs Cortex A for HPCs and microcontroller grade Cortex R and Cortex M for zone and domain controllers.
2. Configure AUTOSAR Classic MCAL and BSW for domain and zone controller ECUs including ADC PWM CAN CAN FD LIN SPI Ethernet and WDG modules using configurators such as EB tresos and DaVinci Configurator.
3. Configure and deploy AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform services including ara com ara exec ara diag ara log and JSON manifest authoring.
4. Develop Linux BSP for automotive HPC platforms including Yocto Open Embedded meta layer authoring device tree U Boot and kernel driver development for character platform and network drivers.
5. Integrate RTOS configurations for time critical ECUs including QNX Neutrino partitioning FreeRTOS task configuration and INTEGRITY partition scheduling.
6. Implement inter domain middleware including Ethernet AVB TSN stack SOME IP stack and DDS middleware integration.
7. Configure Vehicle OS and SDV platform frameworks including SOAFEE Scalable Open Architecture for Embedded Edge container runtime and Eclipse SDV Leda bring up.
8. Develop OTA platform enablement including A and B partition schemes Uptane client integration update engine daemon and rollback safe platform update agents.
9. Integrate automotive cybersecurity platforms including secure boot chains Trust Zone TEE HSM key management and AUTOSAR SecOC CSM configuration.
10. Debug cross layer platform issues using Lauterbach TRACE32 JTAG serial console ftrace perf and DLT based distributed logging infrastructure.
11. Experience with SoCs from Qualcomm Renesas NXP or NVIDIA
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Must Have Proficiency in embedded C and C++ for both Linux application grade HPC and RTOS bare metal zone controller automotive platforms
2. Must Have Experience with AUTOSAR Classic MCAL BSW configuration CAN ETH SPI OS COM DCM DEM modules using standard toolchains
3. Must Have Knowledge of Linux BSP device tree authoring Yocto Open Embedded meta layer development and kernel driver patterns
4. Must Have Familiarity with AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform are com are exec service manifest daemon configuration and deployment
5. Must Understand automotive middleware SOMEIP vsomeip MICROSAR Ethernet AVB TSN and PDU routing for SDV
6. Must Have Experience with RTOS configuration QNX Neutrino Free RTOS or INTEGRITY scheduling and memory partitioning
7. Must Have Hands on debugging Lauterbach TRACE32 JTAG UART console DLT logging ftrace and Linux perf for platform issue analysis
8. Good to Have Experience with SOAFEE or Eclipse SDV platform integration OCI container runtime podman meta ewaol layer or SOAFEE CCA
9. Good to Have Familiarity with hypervisor integration QNX Hypervisor ACRN or Xen for mixed criticality multi OS automotive deployments
10. Good to Have Knowledge of TEE TrustvZone OP TEE HSM Infineon SLB 9670 TPM NXP SE050 and secure key storage APIs
11. Good to Have Exposure to DDS middleware FastvDDS CyclonevDDS and Eclipse Zenoh for next generation SDV data distribution
12. Good to Understand ISO 26262 functional safety platform requirements memory protection watchdog and ASIL partitioning
Additional Information:
1. The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software or SDV Platform Development cross-domain.
2. This position is based at our Pune office.
