Job Summary
The CTL Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the Cut-to-Length (CTL) line to process metal coils into sheets according to production specifications. The operator ensures product quality, maintains machine efficiency, follows safety procedures, and performs routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the CTL machine according to production requirements.
- Load metal coils using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Adjust machine settings for thickness, width, and sheet length as per work orders.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect finished sheets for dimensions, surface quality, and defects.
- Record production data, material consumption, and machine downtime.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report machine malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company operating procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Work closely with supervisors and quality inspectors to achieve production targets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience operating a CTL line or similar metal processing equipment.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and measuring instruments.
