Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven EV Two-Wheeler Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end vehicle design and engineering development of electric two-wheelers. This role will own product realisation from concept to production, ensuring alignment with performance, quality, regulatory, and cost targets.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in vehicle engineering, EV systems integration, supplier coordination, and cross-functional program leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Design & Engineering Leadership
- Lead complete vehicle design and engineering development of EV two-wheelers.
- Own vehicle architecture, packaging, and system integration (battery, motor, controller, chassis, suspension, brakes, electronics).
- Ensure design meets performance, durability, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
2. Product Development & Program Management
- Manage the full product lifecycle: concept → prototype → validation → SOP (Start of Production).
- Develop and maintain engineering timelines and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Industrial Design, R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Lead design reviews and gate approvals.
3. Validation & Testing
- Define and execute validation plans (DV, PV, endurance, homologation, reliability testing).
- Ensure vehicle meets regulatory requirements (AIS/CMVR or relevant regional standards).
- Drive root cause analysis and engineering problem-solving during testing phases.
4. Cost & Value Engineering
- Own vehicle cost targets (BOM cost, tooling cost, and development cost).
- Collaborate with sourcing teams for supplier selection and cost optimization.
- Implement value engineering initiatives without compromising performance or safety.
5. Supplier & Partner Management
- Work closely with key component suppliers (battery, motor, electronics, chassis parts).
- Support technical discussions, design approvals, and supplier validation.
- Ensure timely development of parts as per program schedule.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive technology benchmarking and competitive analysis.
- Introduce new materials, technologies, and performance enhancements.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
