Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive sales growth for our software solutions and IT services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, client acquisition, software/service demonstrations, proposal management, and tender participation. The candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers, conducting product presentations, and closing deals across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify, qualify, and generate new business opportunities through various channels.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, CXOs, and stakeholders.
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and emerging business opportunities.
Client Meetings & Product Demonstrations
Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients.
Understand client requirements and propose suitable software and service solutions.
Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
Coordinate with technical teams to address client queries and solution requirements.
Proposal & Tender Management
Prepare and submit business proposals, RFPs, RFQs, and commercial quotations.
Manage participation in private-sector tenders and bidding processes.
Review tender documents, eligibility criteria, and submission requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tender submissions.
Account Management
Develop long-term relationships with existing clients.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
Reporting & CRM Management
Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline updates in CRM systems.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
Track sales performance against targets and business objectives.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in B2B sales, software sales, IT services sales, or business development.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating revenue.
Experience in handling proposals, RFPs, RFQs, and private tenders.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to conduct product demonstrations and client meetings independently.
Experience using CRM tools and sales management platforms.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience selling Software Development Services, Web Development, Mobile App Development, Cloud Solutions, AI/ML Services, Digital Transformation, or IT Consulting Services.
Existing network of corporate decision-makers and industry contacts.
Experience working with enterprise and mid-market clients.
