Role Overview
The Restaurant Training Manager will design, implement, and monitor training programs across all café outlets and central kitchens. The role ensures that every team member—from front-of-house to kitchen staff—delivers consistent product quality, service standards, and brand experience.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Execution
- Design structured training programs for FOH (service) and BOH (kitchen) teams
- Develop onboarding and induction modules for new hires
- Create certification programs for different roles (Barista, Service Associate, Kitchen Staff, Store Manager)
Standardization & SOPs
- Build and update SOPs for service, food preparation, hygiene, and customer experience
- Ensure uniform implementation of processes across all outlets
- Drive adherence to brand standards and operational excellence
New Store Openings
- Lead training and team readiness for new outlet launches
- Conduct pre-opening training and mock service drills
- Ensure smooth go-live with fully trained staff
Performance Monitoring
- Conduct regular audits and skill assessments across outlets
- Identify training gaps and implement corrective programs
- Track training effectiveness through KPIs and customer feedback
Team Development
- Coach outlet managers and supervisors on team handling and training
- Build a second line of trainers within the organization
- Drive continuous learning culture across teams
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with operations, HR, and quality teams to align training needs
- Support HR in onboarding, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and retention initiatives
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in restaurant/café training (QSR/F&B preferred)
- Deep understanding of FOH & BOH operations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong SOP-building and process orientation
- Ability to train large teams across multiple locations
- High energy, hands-on, and detail-oriented approach
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field
- 4–8 years of experience in training/L&D in F&B, QSR, or hospitality industry
