Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to lead the procurement function for our civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and procurement planning. The role is responsible for ensuring timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices while supporting project schedules and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for civil construction projects.
- Plan and procure construction materials including cement, steel, aggregates, RMC, bricks, blocks, structural steel, finishing materials, plumbing, electrical, and MEP items.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of approved vendors and suppliers.
- Source new suppliers and evaluate them based on quality, pricing, delivery performance, and reliability.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Stores for material planning and procurement.
- Issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, prepare comparative statements, and finalize purchase orders.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites to avoid project delays.
- Monitor procurement budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Track purchase orders, vendor performance, and material deliveries.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and contractual requirements.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and MIS reports.
- Resolve vendor-related issues, shortages, quality concerns, and delivery delays.
- Lead and mentor the purchase team to improve procurement efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of procurement experience in the Civil Construction or Infrastructure industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, market rates, and supplier networks.
- Experience in vendor development and commercial negotiations.
- Good understanding of BOQ, construction drawings, and project procurement planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
