Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong CAD/CAM knowledge to support, implement, demonstrate, and train customers on CAD/CAM software solutions. The ideal candidate will help clients optimize design and manufacturing workflows while providing technical support and pre-sales/post-sales assistance.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Implementation
- Install, configure, and maintain CAD/CAM software.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding software usage and troubleshooting.
- Assist customers in implementing CAD/CAM solutions into their engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Diagnose and resolve software-related issues.
Customer Training & Consultation
- Conduct software training sessions for engineers, designers, and machinists.
- Develop training materials, tutorials, and technical documentation.
- Guide customers on best practices for CAD modeling, CAM programming, and CNC machining.
Pre-Sales Activities
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable software solutions.
- Support the sales team with technical expertise during customer meetings and evaluations.
- Prepare proof-of-concept projects and sample machining strategies.
Application Development & Optimization
- Create CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing programs.
- Optimize machining processes, toolpaths, and CNC operations.
- Test new software features and provide feedback to development teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, manufacturing technologies, and CAD/CAM advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and CNC machining.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as:
- SolidWorks
- Autodesk Fusion
- Mastercam
- NX
- CATIA
- Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code/M-code).
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and training sessions (if required).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining.
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems.
- Basic scripting or automation skills for CAD/CAM customization.
