About the role
We arrange debt for businesses: working capital, term loans, channel and vendor finance, trade finance, and LAP. We work with MSMEs, mid-corporates, and growth-stage companies, and we place files across banks and NBFCs.
We are scaling. This role owns lead generation and deal closure. You will source clients, run our referral channels, pitch promoters and CFOs, and drive files from first meeting to sanction. This is the hire that lets the business grow past its founder.
What you will do
- Source new clients through channel partners, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, and direct outreach to promoters and CFOs.
- Run and grow the channel partner network: GST consultants, smaller CAs, and other referral sources.
- Conduct first client meetings, assess funding needs, and pitch the right product.
- Qualify leads, collect preliminary financials, and hand bankable files to the analyst team.
- Track every live file through the pipeline and drive it to sanction and disbursal.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients for limit renewals and repeat mandates.
- Hit monthly and quarterly targets on files sourced, sanctioned, and disbursed.
Who we are looking for
Required:
- 4 to 5 years in business banking, an NBFC, a DSA, or a debt advisory or syndication firm.
- Direct experience sourcing and closing loan files: working capital, term loans, or business loans.
- Working knowledge of credit assessment, financial statements, and bank eligibility norms.
- Ability to talk to promoters and CFOs as a peer and hold a credible business conversation.
- Strong network in the local business or banking ecosystem.
Preferred:
- Existing relationships with bank and NBFC RMs.
- Exposure to channel finance or vendor finance.
- A commerce, finance, or MBA background.
Targets and performance
- The role carries a quarterly target on files sourced and disbursed.
- Performance is measured on disbursed files, not sanctioned files.
- A 90-day ramp period applies, with month-by-month milestones agreed at joining.
Compensation
- Fixed: ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 per month, based on experience.
- Variable: percent of the syndication fee on files sourced and closed, paid on disbursal.
