Job Description – Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of STP, ETP, WTP, and RO plants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient plant operations, managing O&M teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of STP, ETP, WTP, and RO plants.
- Lead, supervise, and support O&M engineers, technicians, and plant operators.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Monitor plant performance, equipment health, and process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate breakdown maintenance and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Maintain maintenance records, operational reports, and site documentation.
- Plan manpower deployment and monitor team productivity.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
- Optimize plant performance while reducing downtime and operating costs.
- Ensure proper maintenance of pumps, blowers, motors, valves, instrumentation, and related equipment.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Operation & Maintenance of STP, ETP, WTP, RO, or wastewater treatment plants.
- Experience in leading O&M teams and managing multiple project sites is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and industrial equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
