Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Purchase & Logistics Manager to oversee procurement, vendor management, and logistics coordination for rooftop solar, Open Access, and BESS projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of solar components, procurement processes, and supply chain management while ensuring timely and cost-effective material availability for project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure solar and BESS equipment, including modules, inverters, structures, batteries, cables, and other BOS materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors while negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with DISCOMs, CEIG, and state nodal agencies for project-related approvals.
- Monitor and interpret state-level Solar and BESS policies relevant to procurement and project execution.
- Maintain vendor contracts and ensure quality standards for all procured materials.
- Plan and coordinate logistics, dispatch, and material delivery to project sites across India.
- Maintain inventory records, procurement documentation, and ERP data.
- Prepare MIS reports and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Work closely with the Projects, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 0–5 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain, preferably in the solar or EPC industry.
- Experience handling AC and DC components of solar projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Tally, and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with vendor management and procurement processes.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of solar components and procurement practices.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Hindi. Marathi will be an added advantage.
