Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will Oversees supply planning, inventory management, and resource management in the regional distribution center or local Sales organization. Manages planning initiatives to improve customer on-time delivery and lead time, ensuring adherence to inventory and supply plan.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Smart Power Division in India. will be based at “Nelamangala - Bangalore – India”.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Manage site supply planning and scheduling, ensuring alignment with Hub/PG S&OP processes by providing visibility into supply capacity, local objectives, and the site's ability to support demand plans.
Own inventory and working capital management, supporting optimization of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and project inventories while maintaining effective inventory control processes and meeting NWC targets.
Manage fulfillment and short-term operational planning (S&OE), coordinating cross-functional teams to respond to demand fluctuations, mitigate supply risks, and ensure profitable and timely customer order execution.
Oversee supply chain improvement initiatives with Lean Six Sigma practices to boost on-time delivery, reduce cycle times, refine forecast accuracy, better manage inventory, and make more effective use of resources.
Oversee planning functions, system improvements, and staff development to refine planning workflows, expand ERP adoption, enhance team skills, and improve organizational effectiveness while supporting a results-driven culture.
Qualifications for the role:
Qualification: Degree in Engineering with 15+ years of relevant experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
Extensive experience in Material Planning and Supply Chain Management, with extensive experience in inventory control, procurement, and production support within large-scale organizations in the switchgear and electrical industry.
Extensive experience in S&OP, demand planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain coordination, ensuring seamless material availability and operational efficiency.
Solid understanding of import and export logistics, including supplier management, freight forwarding, customs regulations, and international trade processes.
Demonstrated ability in inventory optimization and working capital management, balancing service levels, inventory turns, and cost-effective material planning.
Collaborative leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Experience with switchgear and electrical products, including MCBs, wiring accessories, and distribution boards (DBs), along with effective communication and problem-solving skills to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and carry out corrective actions.
