The primary responsibilities include maintaining and calibrating equipment, providing accurate updates to the lab in charge, executing onsite jobs with optimal cost efficiency, and ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS). Additionally, the Sr. Tester is responsible for guiding and training team members, demonstrating tests/calibrations to auditors for accreditation purposes, and focusing on continuous improvement in service delivery.
Key performance indicators include equipment uptime, timely job status updates, on-time and in-full (OTIF) service delivery, customer satisfaction, reducing turnaround times, minimizing non-conformities, and maintaining confidentiality. The role also emphasizes team leadership, with direct management of 1 to 5 staff members, and accountability for direct costs.
The ideal candidate should have a B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, with 1-3 years of experience for B.E/B.Tech holders and 2-5 years for Diploma holders. A strong technical background, effective communication skills, and a supervisory license from an electrical inspector are required. This role significantly impacts team performance, organizational culture, and service excellence.
