Job Title: Video Editor (Documentary Channel)

We are a growing documentary-focused content channel dedicated to creating engaging, informative, and visually compelling stories. Our content dives deep into real-world topics, requiring a strong sense of narrative, pacing, and emotional impact.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor who can transform raw footage into powerful documentary-style videos. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and sound design to create immersive viewing experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit long-form and short-form documentary videos
Structure content to create clear, engaging narratives
Use music, sound effects, and ambient audio effectively (sound design)
Enhance visuals with transitions, color grading, and motion graphics (if needed)
Collaborate with the team to refine scripts and storytelling flow
Maintain consistency in style, tone, and quality across all videos
Requirements:
Proven experience in video editing (portfolio required)
Good understanding of documentary storytelling techniques
Strong sense of pacing, emotion, and audience engagement
Decent knowledge of sound design and audio balancing
Proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
Attention to detail and willingness to iterate based on feedback
Trial Period:
We believe skills and mindset both matter. Before a full-time commitment, we will conduct a 1 month paid trial period. This helps us understand:
