Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Neurosurgeon to join our multidisciplinary team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and surgically managing disorders related to the brain, spine, peripheral nerves, and trauma cases while ensuring high-quality patient care and coordination with ICU, emergency, and critical care teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage neurosurgical patients in OPD, IPD, ICU, and Emergency.
- Perform neurosurgical procedures including:
- Cranial surgeries
- Spine surgeries
- Trauma and emergency neurosurgical interventions
- Management of intracranial hemorrhage and head injury cases
- Assess and manage patients with:
- Brain tumors
- Stroke complications
- Spinal cord compression
- Degenerative spine disease
- Hydrocephalus
- Peripheral nerve disorders
- Provide emergency coverage for neurotrauma and critical neurosurgical cases.
- Coordinate with ICU, Emergency, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, and Anesthesia teams.
- Review CT/MRI imaging and formulate treatment plans.
- Ensure proper documentation, operative notes, discharge summaries, and informed consent.
- Supervise junior doctors, residents, and ICU medical officers when required.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, CME activities, and hospital quality initiatives.
- Counsel patients and relatives regarding diagnosis, surgery, prognosis, and postoperative care.
- Maintain ethical medical practice and follow hospital protocols.
Qualification Requirements
- MCh / DNB Neurosurgery from a recognized institute.
- Valid NMC registration.
- Experience in handling emergency and trauma neurosurgical cases preferred.
- Good surgical, communication, and team coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in spine and neurotrauma management.
- ICU and ventilator patient management understanding.
- Ability to handle emergency surgeries independently.
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
