BACKGROUND
The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust working towards creating an equitable society and enhancing the quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities across India.
THF primarily focuses on the health and well-being of remote and underserved populations, with special emphasis on children, women, and persons with disabilities. In addition, the Foundation actively works towards holistic development in the areas of Education and Livelihood.
Our two-fold strategy involves:
-
Working within Aspirational Districts and regions with high poverty indices across the North, North-East, and East India.
-
Catering to lower-income and migratory populations through various urban initiatives.
Over the past 15 years, THF has positively impacted more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs and interventions. The Foundation works through direct project implementation on the ground, while also providing management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organizations funded through THF USA and RIST.
