Surveillance Technician

Job Summary
The Surveillance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, recording equipment, monitors, networking devices, and related security systems. The role ensures continuous and efficient operation of all surveillance equipment to support the safety, security, and compliance requirements of the casino.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, video management systems, and related surveillance equipment.
- Monitor the performance of surveillance systems and promptly address technical issues.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues related to surveillance systems.
- Ensure all surveillance equipment operates in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing and warranty claims.
- Assist in testing and commissioning new surveillance installations and upgrades.
- Provide technical support to the Surveillance Department and other relevant departments.
- Ensure proper backup and storage of surveillance footage and system data.
- Respond to emergency technical failures and restore systems with minimal downtime.
- Follow all safety, security, and confidentiality procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Hardware, Networking, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in CCTV, surveillance systems, or security technology maintenance.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, networking, and structured cabling.
- Familiarity with video management software and surveillance equipment.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical manuals and system diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in casino, hospitality, gaming, or large commercial environments.
- Certification in CCTV, networking, or security systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of access control systems and other electronic security systems.
