Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Hair Trainer / Hair Educator to train, develop, and enhance the technical skills of our salon team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in professional hair services along with excellent training, communication, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular technical training for hairstylists and salon professionals.
* Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical training in hair cutting, styling, colouring, highlights, balayage, smoothening, straightening, and chemical services.
* Develop structured training modules according to salon standards and industry trends.
* Assess trainees through practical demonstrations and skill evaluations.
* Identify skill gaps and provide individual coaching and corrective training.
* Train staff on professional product knowledge, application techniques, aftercare, and client consultation.
* Ensure consistent service quality and technical standards across salon outlets.
* Train new employees as part of the onboarding and technical development program.
* Keep the team updated with the latest hair trends, techniques, colouring methods, and industry practices.
* Coordinate with HR and Operations teams for training schedules and performance development.
* Maintain training records and provide regular feedback on employee progress.
Requirements
* 3–7 years of professional experience in the hair/salon industry.
* Previous experience as a Hair Trainer, Hair Educator, Senior Hairstylist, Hair Technical Trainer, or Salon Educator is preferred.
* Strong expertise in hair cutting, colouring, styling, chemical treatments, and modern hair techniques.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong teaching, mentoring, and leadership abilities.
* Passion for training and developing hairstylists.
* Professional appearance and attitude.
* Certification in Hairdressing / Cosmetology will be an added advantage.
