Job Role: AutoCAD Draftsman
An AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings, layouts, and construction documents based on the concepts, sketches, and instructions provided by architects, interior designers, engineers, or project managers. The role requires a strong understanding of drafting standards, construction detailing, and proficiency in AutoCAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using AutoCAD.
- Convert conceptual sketches and design ideas into precise technical drawings.
- Coordinate with decor vendorsdesigners, engineers, consultants, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Revise and update drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and design changes.
- Maintain proper drawing documentation, revisions, and version control.
- Prepare furniture layouts, electrical layouts, ceiling plans, flooring plans, and other detailed working drawings as required.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Assist in quantity estimation by interpreting technical drawings.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions and update drawings accordingly.
- Organize and maintain project drawing records and digital files.
- Coordinate with vendors and execution teams to resolve drawing-related queries during project execution.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting).
- Good understanding of construction methods and architectural/interior detailing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Time management and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting software is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in architectural, interior, or construction drafting is preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
