Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, pongal, upma, sambar, chutneys, and other regional specialties.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen as per food safety regulations.
- Monitor food stock levels and inform management about inventory requirements.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food preparation.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used and maintained properly.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a South Indian Cook in a hotel, restaurant, café, or catering establishment.
- Strong knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Good teamwork and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in handling bulk orders and breakfast buffet operations is preferred.
