This is not a conventional content-writing role. You will be responsible for
discovering interesting ideas, researching them deeply, and turningthem into compelling content across multiple formats and platforms.
You will work closely with the founding and business team to buildTalapatram's content engine from the ground up.
What You'll Do
1. Research & Fact-Checking
Research topics across Hindu philosophy, traditions, festivals, temples, Itihasa-Purana, Indian history and Indian Knowledge Systems.
Identify interesting stories, facts, concepts and questions that can become engaging content.
Use primary sources and credible secondary sources wherever appropriate.
Cross-check historical, philosophical and cultural claims.
Clearly distinguish between
scriptural references, historical evidence, scholarly interpretations and popular beliefs
.
Maintain a structured research and content database.
2. Write & Create
Create content across formats:
Instagram Reels
YouTube Shorts
Instagram carousels
WhatsApp
Blogs & articles
Educational modules
Children's stories
Festival & occasion content
Product & feature content
3. Storytelling
Turn complex ideas into simple, engaging narratives. You should be able to answer:
What is the strongest hook?
Why should someone care about this?
What is the surprising part of the story?
What is the emotional or intellectual payoff?
How do we make this content shareable?
4. Content Repurposing
Turn one research topic into multiple pieces of content
5. Content Strategy
Contribute ideas to Talapatram's content calendar.
Identify emerging topics and content opportunities.
Develop recurring content series.
Analyse content performance and use those learnings to improve future content.
Work with the marketing team on content aligned to growth objectives.
6. AI-Assisted Content Creation
Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and others to improve research, ideation and production speed.
However:
AI-generated information must never be treated as automatically correct. You will be responsible for verifying every fact, referenceand interpretation before publication.

Must Have
Excellent English writing skills
Strong research and analytical ability
Excellent storytelling ability
Strong curiosity about Indian culture and Indic knowledgesystems
Ability to independently research unfamiliar subjects
Understanding of social-media content formats
Strong attention to factual accuracy
Ability to write for both children and adults
Strong Plus
Knowledge of Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu or another Indian language
Background in history, philosophy, literature, Indology, religiousstudies or IKS
Experience creating Instagram / YouTube content
Experience with educational or cultural content
Experience with SEO
Basic Canva or video-editing skills
Experience using AI tools in content workflows
Pay: ₹25,000.00 per month
