Odoo Functional Consultant – 1+ Year ExperienceJob Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Odoo Functional Consultant with at least one year of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, testing, and supporting Odoo ERP solutions.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of business processes and the ability to translate functional requirements into practical Odoo configurations. The role involves working closely with customers, functional teams, and developers to validate solutions, troubleshoot issues, support data migration, and ensure successful implementation and adoption of Odoo modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer business processes, operational requirements, and existing workflows.
- Gather and document functional requirements from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Configure Odoo modules based on approved business requirements.
- Test and validate configured solutions before deployment.
- Prepare test scenarios, perform functional testing, and document results.
- Identify configuration issues, troubleshoot functional problems, and apply appropriate fixes.
- Coordinate with technical developers for customizations, integrations, and complex requirements.
- Validate developed solutions to ensure they meet the agreed functional requirements.
- Support master data preparation, data cleansing, mapping, migration, and validation.
- Perform post-migration reconciliation to confirm the completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
- Assist users during User Acceptance Testing and resolve identified issues.
- Support Odoo implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and post-go-live activities.
- Create user guides, process documents, configuration documents, and training materials.
- Provide functional training and ongoing support to end users.
- Monitor open issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Recommend improvements to business processes using standard Odoo capabilities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum one year of experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant, ERP Functional Consultant, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting Odoo modules.
- Good understanding of ERP implementation and support processes.
- Experience in functional testing, solution validation, and issue troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with data migration, data validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into functional solutions.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, developers, and project teams.
- Willingness to learn new Odoo modules, business processes, and product features.
Preferred Functional Knowledge
Experience in one or more of the following Odoo modules would be an advantage:

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Functional knowledge of accounting, inventory, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, or service operations.
- Experience interacting directly with customers during ERP implementation or support projects.
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL, Excel, data import templates, or reporting tools would be an added advantage.
