Job Summary
The Waiter/Steward is responsible for providing excellent customer service by ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting guests with their requirements while adhering to the restaurant's service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, explain dishes, daily specials, and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Ensure guests receive the correct orders and address any concerns immediately.
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
- Clear used dishes and prepare tables for the next guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams for smooth service.
- Handle guest complaints politely and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.
- Process bills and assist with payment procedures when required.
- Support opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Promote menu items, combo meals, and seasonal offers to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10th/12th Pass (Hotel Management qualification preferred).
- 6 months –3 years of experience in restaurants, cafés, hotels, or hospitality establishments.
- Freshers with good communication skills are welcome to apply.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with a pleasant personality.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Basic English communication (preferred).
- Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift trays and carry food and beverages safely.
- Well-groomed appearance and adherence to the restaurant's grooming standards.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Flexible working hours based on restaurant operations.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
