Role
: Hardware in loop (HILS) Simulation Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Define HILS specifications for Body controllers, Powertrain controllers, Electric
Vehicle controllers & Display Audio System.
- Procurement & Commissioning of HILS.
- Prepare HILS set up (Plant Model, Wiring harness, I/O interfacing etc.) for Body,
Powertrain, Electric Vehicle & Display Audio controllers.
- Creating Test Scenario, Test Case, Test Coverage Analysis, Test Procedure & Test
Script from specification document with coding exposure.
- Electrical Components Hardware & Software Evaluation on HILS.
- Electronic Controller HILS testing with electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
- Automation framework through dSPACE automation desk, Capl., python.
- Report generation & analysis.
Competency Requirements:
Technical/Functional
- Knowledge of Hybrid & Electric Vehicle, Powertrain, Body, Display Audio
systems (Architecture, modeling, simulations & design considerations).
- Knowledge of HILS systems (Architecture, Setup preparation, Plant modeling &
simulations, Data logging & debugging, Design considerations)
- Controller development expertise & deep insight of controller hardware &
software knowledge.
- Experience in HILS plant model design & development in MATLAB.
Communication protocols
- Knowledge of Hybrid & Electric Vehicle, Powertrain, Body, Display Audio
systems (Architecture, modeling, simulations & design considerations).
- Knowledge of HILS systems (Architecture, Setup preparation, Plant modeling &
simulations, Data logging & debugging, Design considerations)
- Controller development expertise & deep insight of controller hardware &
software knowledge.
- Experience in HILS plant model design & development in MATLAB.
Software
- Control desk, Configuration desk, Automation desk & model desk (dSPACE
HILS).
- SIMULINK & STATEFLOW modeling, MATLAB modelling & scripting.
- Model verification on Virtual Simulation platform: HILS.
- Capl., Vtest studio, Python
Hardware
- Micro-controller/Micro-processor architecture.
- Micro-controller hardware I/O configuration.

Educational Requirement:
Essential
- B.E / B. Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication
- Minimum 70 % marks
Desirable
- M.E / M. Tech in Instrumentation/ Control Systems / Power Electronics / Mechatronics and project work related to Automotive.
