The Lecturer in Statistics is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in statistics, developing course materials, conducting assessments, mentoring students, and contributing to academic research and departmental activities. The role requires a strong foundation in statistical theory, data analysis, and modern statistical software.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in statistics.
- Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and learning resources.
- Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, examinations, and projects.
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, or internships where applicable.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in recognized journals.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attend departmental meetings, faculty committees, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Maintain accurate academic records and submit grades within established deadlines.
- Promote the effective use of statistical software such as R, SPSS, SAS, Python, or Stata in teaching and research.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
