Qualification:
- Sanitary Inspector (SI) Course – Mandatory
- Diploma / Certificate in Housekeeping or related field will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience
- Hospital / Healthcare housekeeping experience will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily housekeeping activities across the hospital.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in all assigned areas.
- Allocate duties and monitor housekeeping staff performance.
- Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of patient care and common areas.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, equipment and consumables.
- Ensure proper waste collection, segregation and disposal as per hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Infection Control, Facility and other departments.
- Conduct regular housekeeping rounds and identify cleanliness-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with hospital hygiene, infection prevention and safety standards.
- Train housekeeping staff regarding cleaning procedures, infection control and safety practices.
- Maintain housekeeping checklists, records and daily reports.
- Handle housekeeping-related complaints and ensure timely corrective action.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, uniform and discipline.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and cleaning chemicals by housekeeping staff.
