Job Description – Liaisoning Officer
Job Summary
The Liaisoning Officer will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining relationships with various government departments, regulatory authorities, and local bodies to obtain statutory approvals, licenses, permits, and clearances required for business operations and projects. The role ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while facilitating smooth execution of organizational activities.
Key Responsibilities
Government & Regulatory Liaisoning
- Coordinate with Government Departments, Corporation, Municipality, Revenue, PWD, Mining, Pollution Control Board, Fire & Safety, and other statutory authorities.
- Obtain, renew, and maintain all required licenses, permits, and approvals.
- Follow up on applications and ensure timely receipt of approvals and clearances.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor license validity and renewal schedules.
- Maintain records of permits, approvals, and compliance documents.
- Support audits and inspections conducted by government authorities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and submit applications, agreements, affidavits, and statutory documents.
- Maintain accurate records of correspondence with government offices.
- Prepare periodic compliance and status reports for management.
Project Support
- Facilitate land-related approvals, project clearances, and infrastructure permissions.
- Coordinate with legal, engineering, and project teams for documentation requirements.
- Resolve regulatory issues affecting project timelines.
Stakeholder Management
- Represent the organization before government authorities.
- Handle grievances, queries, and compliance-related matters with external agencies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local administration and regulatory bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Additional qualification in Law, Public Administration, or Business Administration preferred.
- 8–15 years of experience in Liaisoning, Government Relations, Compliance, or Administration.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of government licensing and statutory compliance.
- Experience dealing with PWD, Pollution Control Board, Corporation, Collector Office, Mining Department, and other regulatory authorities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong documentation and follow-up abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple approvals and compliance activities simultaneously.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely acquisition and renewal of licenses.
- Zero compliance violations and penalties.
- Successful completion of statutory approvals within deadlines.
- Effective stakeholder and government relationship management.
Preferred Industry Experience: Infrastructure, Construction, Mining, Manufacturing, Logistics, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, or Industrial Projects.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
