Job Summary
The Elevator Installation Supervisor/Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing the installation of elevators, escalators, and moving walks at project sites. The role ensures that installations are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with company standards, statutory regulations, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the complete installation of elevators, escalators, and moving walks from shaft handover to final commissioning.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and installation schedules before commencing work.
- Plan and allocate manpower, tools, materials, and lifting equipment for site activities.
- Coordinate with builders, consultants, architects, civil contractors, and customers to ensure site readiness and smooth execution.
- Monitor installation progress and ensure projects are completed within planned timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, installation manuals, and safety procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and identify technical or safety issues, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of installation materials.
- Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, material consumption, and project documentation.
- Support testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities with customers and statutory authorities.
- Attend project review meetings and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Guide and supervise installation technicians, subcontractors, and helpers to ensure quality workmanship.
- Resolve installation-related technical issues and escalate major concerns when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical, mechanical, and occupational safety regulations.
- Support warranty, snag rectification, and customer handover activities until project completion.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in elevator or escalator installation, site execution, or project management.
- Experience working with passenger elevators, freight elevators, hospital lifts, MRL, machine-room, and hydraulic elevators is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of elevator installation procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
- Ability to interpret GA drawings, layout drawings, electrical schematics, and installation manuals.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong planning, coordination, and project execution abilities.
- Effective communication and customer relationship skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of quality systems and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project sites.

Working Conditions
- Frequent travel to project sites.
