The University is seeking a dynamic, student-centric, and experienced professional for the position of Director / Deputy Director – Student Affairs. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, managing, and enhancing all aspects of student life, ensuring a positive campus experience, promoting student engagement, and supporting student welfare initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement, participation, and overall campus experience.
Oversee student clubs, societies, cultural activities, sports events, and leadership development programs.
Foster an inclusive and supportive campus environment that encourages student well-being and personal growth.
Organize orientation programs, annual festivals, convocation ceremonies, and other major student events.
Lead initiatives related to student counseling, mentoring, grievance redressal, and wellness programs.
Ensure effective functioning of student support services, including hostel affairs, medical assistance, and special assistance programs.
Address student concerns and maintain a conducive environment for learning and development.
Promote awareness programs on mental health, diversity, inclusion, and responsible citizenship.
Develop and enforce student conduct policies, disciplinary procedures, and code of ethics.
Chair or participate in disciplinary committees and ensure fair resolution of student-related issues.
Ensure compliance with University regulations and statutory requirements pertaining to student affairs.
Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to address student concerns promptly.
Build strong relationships with students, parents, faculty members, alumni, and external organizations.
Collaborate with academic departments to support student success and retention initiatives.
Facilitate leadership training, student representation mechanisms, and community engagement activities.
Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and external partners for student development initiatives.
Prepare annual plans, budgets, reports, and presentations related to student affairs activities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of student programs and recommend improvements.
Support accreditation, ranking, and quality assurance processes related to student services.
Maintain records and documentation of student activities, achievements, and welfare initiatives.
Postgraduate degree with a Ph.D. from a recognized institution.
10–15 years of progressive experience in student affairs, campus administration, student engagement, or academic administration, preferably in higher education institutions.
Demonstrated experience in managing student services, cultural activities, student welfare, and campus events.
Strong understanding of student development theories, higher education policies, and best practices in student engagement.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
