Job Summary:
A VMC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Vertical Machining Center machines to manufacture components as per technical drawings and specifications. The role requires attention to detail, basic programming knowledge, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate VMC/CNC machines to perform machining operations like milling, drilling, tapping, and boring.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality of output.
- Perform basic CNC programming or make minor program edits (G-code knowledge preferred).
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintain proper documentation of production and quality records.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience operating VMC or CNC machines (freshers may be considered for junior roles).
- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle machine operations.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
