Location: Based at Ahmedabad; field coverage across Gujarat (Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Ankleshwar, Dahej, Rajkot)
Reports to: Director – Sales & Marketing
Experience: 1-5 years in industrial / technical B2B sales (hoses, valves, pumps, fittings, instrumentation, or allied products)
Employment type: Full-time, on-role. Fixed salary plus sales incentive.
About the role:
You will own on-ground sales for a defined Gujarat territory. You are the face of Essem in the field — visiting plants, understanding technical requirements, converting enquiries into orders, and building long-term relationships with purchase, projects, and maintenance teams.
Key responsibilities:
Generate business across your territory to identify and win new industrial accounts.
Visit plants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and distributors in chemical, pharma, oil & gas, power, steel, and food & beverage industries.
Understand customer requirements (media, pressure, temperature, size, end fittings) and translate them into the correct hose or bellows specification.
Handle RFQs, coordinate quotations with the inside sales / estimation team, negotiate, and close orders.
Maintain a healthy pipeline in the CRM with accurate follow-ups and forecasts.
Track competitor activity, pricing, and new project opportunities in your region.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial Engineering, or a diploma with strong technical selling experience.
1-5 years of field B2B sales in industrial products, ideally hoses, valves, pumps, fittings, or process equipment.
Able to read technical requirements and speak confidently with plant engineers and purchase heads.
Willing to travel across Gujarat; two-wheeler / four-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred.
Fluent in Gujarati and Hindi; working English for quotations and email.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and organised with CRM discipline.
