Patient Counsellor – Job Role (IVF Hospital)
Main Purpose
You act as a bridge between doctor and patient, helping patients understand treatment and supporting them emotionally during IVF or fertility procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Counselling
Explain diagnosis, IVF treatment plans, procedures, risks & success rates
Simplify medical information into easy language
Help patients make informed decisions
2. Emotional Support
Support couples dealing with stress, anxiety, infertility issues
Motivate and reassure patients during treatment cycles
Handle sensitive situations with empathy
3. Coordination Work
Coordinate between doctors, nurses, lab & patients
Schedule appointments, scans, and procedures
Ensure smooth treatment flow
4. Patient Education
Educate about:
Pre-treatment preparation
Post-treatment care
Medication usage
Explain IVF process step-by-step
5. Documentation & Records
Maintain:
Patient files
Consent forms
Counselling records
Ensure confidentiality of patient data
6. Financial Counselling
Explain:
Treatment packages
Cost details
Payment options
Help patients understand billing clearly
7. Follow-up & Patient Care
Follow up for:
Appointments
Reports
Next treatment cycle
Handle patient queries and complaints politely
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
