As a Lead Associate - Category Management, with 3.4-6.10 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the category management functions within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of product categories, market trends, and consumer behavior to optimize the product assortment, pricing, and promotions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category management strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Hands on experience with Inventory model/Buying.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop product assortment plans that meet customer needs and company objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms and conditions, and drive supplier performance improvements.
- Monitor category performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement category initiatives, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in category management.
Develop and present regular reports and presentations to senior management regarding category performance and future strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in category management, product management, or related roles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and market information.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
- Experience working in e-commerce, or consumer goods industry is a plus.
