About the Role
We are seeking proactive and result-oriented Collection Executives to manage customer follow-ups, payment recoveries, and account resolutions. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills to ensure timely collections while maintaining a positive customer experience.
The ideal candidate is confident handling customer conversations, comfortable working with targets, and capable of managing sensitive payment discussions professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Collections & Customer Follow-Up
- Contact customers through calls, messages, and other approved communication channels regarding pending payments.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and secure payment commitments.
- Negotiate payment timelines and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Ensure timely recovery of outstanding dues while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Account Management & Resolution
- Verify payment status and update collection records accurately.
- Investigate and resolve payment-related discrepancies.
- Escalate complex cases to the appropriate internal teams when required.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and commitments.
Target Achievement & Process Compliance
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.
- Adhere to company policies and collection guidelines.
- Maintain high productivity, call quality, and compliance standards.
- Prepare and share collection reports as required.
Customer Experience
- Handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Educate customers regarding payment schedules and outstanding balances.
- Ensure a positive customer experience while achieving collection objectives.
Required Skills & QualificationsMust-Have
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Collections, Recovery, Telesales, or Inside Sales.
- Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Experience handling customer interactions over phone calls.
- Ability to manage payment follow-ups, collections, and objection handling.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with CRM tools.
- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to work from office and adhere to assigned schedules.
Preferred
- Experience in financial services, lending, EdTech, banking, telecom, or collections processes.
- Knowledge of collection and recovery practices.
- Multilingual abilities (Hindi, Bengali, or other regional languages).
- Experience handling high-volume calling processes.
