Key Responsibilities –
- Operate radial drilling and pillar drilling machines as per production requirements.
- Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, and related machining operations according to engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and process sheets.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality of machined components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Select appropriate drilling tools, cutting parameters, and fixtures for various machining jobs.
- Conduct routine machine inspections and basic preventive maintenance to ensure smooth machine operation.
- Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify and report machine abnormalities, tool wear, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and adhere to 5S practices in the work area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, company policies, and quality requirements.
- Record production data and job completion details as required by the department.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and workplace safety.
