Job Description
Teaching Assistant forms an integral element in online teaching as they contribute significantly to improving the learning experience.
The responsibility of the TA is mostly to assist the course instructors.
Responsibility
Content Development Support: Exploring, reviewing, and identifying learning resources for curation & modifying them according to the course and instructor's requirements.
Video Creation and Editing-: Assist instructors in video creation and editing for making different video formats or editing video
Managing Learning Management Systems (LMS): Assistance in various tasks, such as organizing and uploading resources, managing discussion forums or keeping track of student participation.
Designing assessment activities: Helping instructors in assignments, quizzes, or practice activities with customized feedback to ensure learner engagement. Helping in designing and creating such activities.
Supporting Live Interactive Sessions: Conducting live interactions involving tasks such as scheduling and communicating the session details, creating and managing polls for use during sessions or moderating student questions and responses in chat.
Grading related Support: Handling the overflow of work such as grading tests, quizzes and papers, and preparing necessary reports for higher-level communication
