Job Summary:
The HVAC Supervisor oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position ensures that all HVAC operations comply with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards. The supervisor will lead a team of HVAC technicians and coordinate workflow, inspections, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and schedule HVAC technicians and subcontractors.
- Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety codes and standards.
- Review blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials; order supplies as needed.
- Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance and service requests.
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate HVAC-related work in construction or renovation projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and compliance reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required); technical school or HVAC certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
