Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Sociology and Humanities lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum standards.
- Develop students’ understanding of social institutions, culture, identity, diversity, globalization, and community life.
- Encourage inquiry-based, discussion-oriented, and student-centered learning methodologies.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, projects, and learning resources.
- Integrate real-life examples, current affairs, case studies, and global perspectives into classroom teaching.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per Cambridge assessment practices.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate academic records, reports, and assessment data.
- Promote classroom discipline and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Participate actively in curriculum planning, school events, parent meetings, and professional development programs.
- Support interdisciplinary learning and collaborate with other Humanities faculty members.
- Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint / IGCSE foundation learning where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology / Social Sciences / Humanities.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Cambridge curriculum experience preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in middle school.
