Looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager for high-rise apartment construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge in construction material procurement, vendor management, cost control, and coordination with project teams.
Qualification
Any Degree / Diploma Civil / B.E Civil / B.Tech Civil
5 to 10 years of experience in high-rise apartment building projects
Key Responsibilities include
- Procurement Execution: Source and purchase construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, aggregates, and hardware) in line with approved project budgets and material take-offs.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors. Maintain a database of approved vendors.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate the best pricing, bulk discounts, payment terms, and delivery schedules without compromising on quality or technical specifications.
- Purchase Orders (POs): Prepare, issue, and track POs through internal procurement systems.
- Site Coordination: Collaborate closely with site engineers and project managers to anticipate material requirements and resolve any delays.
- Quality & Inventory Control: Ensure all delivered goods meet required industry standards. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking at the site.
- Record Keeping: Update and maintain precise documentation regarding orders, invoices, and supplier performance. Coordinate with the accounts payable team for timely vendor payments
