Role Overview
We are looking for experienced and detail-oriented Accountants to join our finance team at our Kolkata and Bengaluru offices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Zoho Books and a solid understanding of Indian taxation including TDS, GST, and Income Tax. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Zoho Books
● Record, verify, and reconcile financial transactions including purchases, sales,
receipts, and payments
● Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) accurately and on time
● Ensure correct deduction and timely deposit of TDS; prepare and file TDS returns
● Assist in Income Tax computations and advance tax calculations
● Maintain ledgers, bank reconciliation statements, and monthly MIS reports
● Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits
● Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
● Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and company policies
● Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Proficiency in Zoho Books – hands-on working experience is mandatory
● Working knowledge of GST – filing, reconciliation, and compliance
● Basic understanding of TDS provisions – deduction, payment, and return filing
● Familiarity with Income Tax basics – computation and advance tax
● Good command over MS Excel and core accounting principles
● Strong attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines
● Good communication and coordination skill
Education & Eligibility Criteria
● B.Com or M.Com – Graduates are eligible to apply
● CA Dropouts are welcome – candidates who have discontinued CA and are not
currently pursuing it
● Candidates currently enrolled in or actively pursuing any academic or professional course will not be considered
● 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role
● Prior experience in a CA firm, trading company, or SME setup will be an added
advantage
