Tasks & Activities

1. Delivering the Curriculum

a. Take responsibility in supporting, nurturing and taking a genuine interest in the holistic development of children assigned to you.

b. Work closely with the Co-ordinator and fellow teachers to ensure the effective preparation and delivery of the plans

c. Putting into practice the school’s learning and Teaching Strategy and employing a wide variety of learning and teaching tools to make learning both effective and enjoyable.

d. Ensure curriculum documentation is recorded in the work planners and meet the deadline.

e. Ensure that the notebooks are corrected and proper feedback is given to the students.

f. Ensuring that all students are able to progress according to their ability.

g. Maximising learning opportunities both within and outside the classroom through fieldtrips, visiting speakers, varied teaching styles and resources.

h. Establishing and monitoring clear homework expectations and providing meaningful feedback.

2. Supporting the Students

a. Ensuring discipline (refer discipline policy) at all times in classrooms, playgrounds, and in school buses is a matter of moral obligation of every teacher.

b. Ensuring all the students perform very well in their academic assessments both in board as well as their FA’s and SA’s.

c. Identifying students who need SEN support and providing personalised care to bring them on par with others, during and after school hours.

d. Teachers need to see that all students speak only in English at all times except in second language classes.

e. Maintain positive learning environments where students are actively and collaboratively engaged in learning

f. Giving constructive, positive feedback to students through dialogue and marking of their work.

g. Plan outbound learning and guest/expert sessions along with the coordinator.

h. Keeping accurate records of the progress of each student. Keeping appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding students

i. Being flexible in order to help the school meet the needs of students

j. Reporting student progress to parents through conferences and written reports.

k. Creatively displaying student work within classrooms and the shared areas of the school

l. To be a mentor for the students for their academic and personal needs. Inform the coordinators if the student needs the support of Student Counsellor.

3. Participating in Whole School Developments

a. Punctuality to school and classes must be the order of the day

b. collaborating with colleagues on curriculum planning and development

c. Attending and helping to organise events for students, parents or the wider community.

d. Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns directly to the help desk

e. Working effectively in a transparent and collaborative manner and provide professional support for colleagues

4. Board handling facilitators

a. Salem – CBSE- Gr 10 and 12 all above 70%. Cambridge 100% pass results in Grade 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th.

b. Erode Cambridge 100 % pass results in 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th

c. Demonstrates progression on school average score of respective Cambridge subjects in every series

d. College admissions in Ivy league, Top 10 universities in India and Abroad

5. Collaboration mandatory – minimum 5 posts on teaching and learning strategies, minimum 5 contributions to resource pool of respective subject areas for teaching and learning – per month (evidence from MT platform)

6. Constructive interactions with SME, team members and across campuses – sharing of worksheets, QPs etc for the partnership benefit of rigorous teaching and learning (MT platform)

7. Portion completion within the timelines of the policy – July for Nov series, Oct for March series and May series

8. Maintaining student mark score record and ensuring every child is progressing – Academic tracker

9. Reminder System implementation and house point deduction evidence

10. Support programme for two periods immediately after a unit test before proceeding to the next unit.

11. Timely notebook correction and feedback.

12. Adherence to HW policy.

13. All templates related to planner and compliances to be followed.
