Job Description
Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in shaping a high performance, engaged, and compliant workplace. Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, this role delivers expert HR guidance across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring that people practices not only meet legal and policy requirements but also enable the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives.
This is a part-time role, working 4 days a week. This is an onsite role with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with organisational quality standards, and uphold all Division/Group HR policies, procedures, and governance requirements.

Maintain ownership of local HR policies, ensuring all Group/Division policies are up to date, accessible, and aligned with current local employment legislation.

Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application and effective communication across the site.

Provide expert day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees, particularly on employee relations matters such as performance, conduct, and capability; proactively recommend enhancements to policies and practices where required.

Support consultation and communication activities associated with organisational change, legislative updates, and broader employee relations initiatives.

Lead and support delivery of the annual HR cycle, including benefits enrolment, performance management, merit and incentive processes, and related programmes.

Deliver local training, briefings, and coaching sessions for employees and managers to embed HR initiatives, covering policy updates, employee engagement, wellbeing, reward and recognition, performance management, and career development.

Provide operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee changes, promotions, salary amendments, parental leave, exits, and exit interviewing.

Manage or support investigations into policy breaches or compliance concerns, conducting end‑to‑end case management from intake to resolution with professionalism and rigour.

Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support local recruitment needs, including reviewing applications and participating in interviews.

Liaise closely with HR Shared Services to ensure timely and accurate completion of HR transactions and maintenance of HR master data.

Promote effective use of HR Shared Services tools (e.g., MyHelpdesk) to support efficient resolution of employee and manager queries.

Support leaders with planning and delivery of communication events, engagement activities, team building initiatives, and approved community involvement events.

Champion a safe and compliant workplace, actively supporting site Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) initiatives and promoting a culture of wellbeing.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Extensive HR Generalist experience within large, complex, multi‑site global organisations, with a strong track record of independently leading HR casework and initiatives.

Proven expertise in managing and leading ER matters from investigation through to resolution, including grievance, disciplinary, performance management, sickness/attendance management, and capability processes.

Demonstrated experience leading complex HR projects such as organisational change, restructures, redundancy processes, and other workforce transfers, ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder management.

Strong capability to advise, coach, and influence employees and leaders on HR policies, best practice, and all aspects of employee relations, delivering timely, well-reasoned, and solution-oriented guidance.

Experienced in supporting senior leaders with sensitive, strategic, and career impacting employee decisions, providing sound judgement and balanced recommendations.

Ability to manage confidential data with absolute discretion and professionalism.

Highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering key HR calendar activities while maintaining high-quality day-to-day support.

Proficient with HRIS and related systems supporting data management, recruitment, learning, compensation, wellbeing, and performance processes.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an approachable, credible, and trusted presence across all levels of the organisation.

Up to date knowledge of national and regional legal and regulatory environments and requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent HR qualification/certification.

Fluency in English and the primary language of the supported region.
